End of Product Life & Security Support Information
Applicable to Proroute Industrial Cellular Routers and Other Internet‑Connected Products Within Scope of UK PSTI Security Update Requirements
As part of our ongoing commitment to product transparency, lifecycle clarity, and security best practice, this page outlines the support provisions that apply to Proroute‑branded internet‑connected devices as they reach the end of their production lifecycle. This includes products already designated as End of Life (EoL) and devices scheduled for future discontinuation.
Our approach is aligned with recognised best‑practice security expectations for connected products and is designed to give our customers clear, predictable information regarding support availability after a device’s production ends.
End of Life (EoL)
Some products will eventually reach the end of their lifecycle. When this occurs, production and distribution stop due to factors such as component availability, supplier changes, or the release of newer, more capable models.
End of Production (EoP)
The date when the last batch is produced.
End of Support (EoS)
The date at which starts the period where we no longer guarantee support or updates for the product.
For the period of 12 months following end of production, we will continue to release software updates which will include security and bug fixes. We will offer customer support also.
After that, for the next 12 month period, where possible updates will be released for critical security issues and bug fixes. We will offer customer support also.
After that, for the 3rd, 4th and 5th years following end of Production, customer service for operation issues and guidance will be given, but new software updates will not be released.
List of End of Life Products
NR550 5G
The NR550 5G Industrial router is end of production since April 2023. It received no more software updates after April 2025, and will be end of support April 2028.
H685 3G
The H685 3G industrial router is end of production since December 2020, and end of support in December 2025.
H820 3G
The H820 3G industrial router is end of production since December 2020, and end of support in December 2025.
GEM420
The GEM420 dual SIM LTE 4G Router was in production between November 2014 and December 2017 and is end of support
GEM2M
The GEM2M dual SIM compact LTE 4G Router was in production between August 2015 and December 2017 and is end of support
H700
The H700 Dual Modem LTE 4G Routers were in production between November 2017 and February 2019 and and are end of support.
H720
The H720 dual SIM and H720 Dual Modem LTE 4G Routers were in production between November 2017 and February 2019 and is end of support.
H750
The H750 dual SIM LTE 4G Router was in production between November 2016 and October 2018 and is end of support.
